A space featuring multimedia content amplifying women's voices and stories with elements of hope for the future, celebrating our cultures, and remembering struggles of the past.
Our new multimedia series aims to bring the spirit of both Kashmiri Pink Tea and Canadian Pink Tea meetings together, in a show which amplifies women's voices. In our first season, we hosted conversations with girls from all over the world on Instagram live and converted them into episodes for a podcast. In the future, we hope to host these conversations with a group of women at a time in their countries, and create videos to immerse our audience into their lives.
Featuring girl-powered moments of inspiration and wisdom, we bring hope to our audience through women supporting each other, celebrating accomplishments, and coming together for the future possibilities of their countries. We seek to go further and create a space where we learn about women’s journeys and share knowledge on how to create the world in which we collectively wish to live.
Pink Tea is a traditional tea originating from the mountainous region of Kashmir, which is famous throughout South Asia for its distinct pink colour. It is a common drink during family gatherings.
Pink Tea is also the name of meetings in which early Canadian women's movements would discuss how to advance women's political power, including topics such as achieving equality and suffrage.
