Opportunities for the future
The opportunities for the future for both regions East Asia and Central Asia have an optimistic hope that will eliminate all forms of gender based violence in countries of the respective regions. An affirmative action and raising of educational awareness on issues dealing with women and girls rights is needed, in order to build a cohesive society that enables women and girls to thrive. To prevent more cases and eruption of gender based violence, countries need to adopt and hold a capacity building framework which has a communal participatory approach. This framework will ensure gender equality is considered an important aspect for growth and development of a country at all levels of sustainable development that is economic, social and environmental.
According to (Bishkek 2018), the governments in East Asia and Central Asia need to have two main objectives as part of turning policies to action on violence against women and girls.
These include; bridging the gaps in compliance of national legal and policy frameworks with international standards and fostering exchange of experiences within and outside the region to strengthen national legal and policy frameworks.

During times of Corona Virus (COVID 19) pandemic civil society organizations have adopted campaigns and advocacy on gender based violence through use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Blog posts, WhatsApp and Instagram. Creation of content via social media platforms has been used by both regions in disseminating information on offenders, violators of women rights and gender based violence laws.

Many Central and East Asian countries have a major problem of social accountability in access to social justice, information of gender based violence and governance in terms of legal protection from institutions mandated to enact and enforce laws on women rights and gender based violence.
There is a need to ensure governments and CSOs have a good working environment to safeguard the interests of their people who are in their respective countries in East Asia and Central Asia.
